What size do I need?

Choosing the right size carrier for your child is important if you want the ergonomic benefits of carrying.

Bairn Onbuhimo and SSC comes in three sizes:

Size 1

(aprox. clothing size 56-80)

Size 2

(aprox. clothing size 80-92)

Size 3

(aprox. clothing size 92-110)

NB!

All children are different and to be certain you will need to measure your child following these instructions:

Measure your baby

To measure your child, you will need a tape measure and the child in question.

Only two measurements are needed to find the right carrier;

1.

Knee to knee

Place your child M-position/Frog position, the they usually sit in a wrap or other carrier. This is easy to do if you actually place them in a wrap and get your partner or friend to help with the measuring. Otherwise it can be done seated or lying down.

This measurement gives you the width of your carrier

2.

Bellybutton to armpit

This is best done seated. If your child is not able to sit unassisted, place them on the tape measure, up against a few pillows, in a couch or get help from your partner or friend.

This will tell you the height of your carrier

NB!

Width and height of both the Onbuhimo and the SSC is adjustable.

Please do size up, if your child is between sizes, this way you will extend the use of your carrier.
